Poison Ivy, Oak
- Rub the poison ivy area with the flesh and rind of a fresh cut watermelon.
- Rub vitamin E on the poison ivy, oak area to help in healing.
- Bathe the poison ivy, oak area with warm salt water.
- Spread on the poison ivy, oak area warm oatmeal, apply a paste of the oatmeal, or soak in a bath with an
old stocking of oatmeal tied to the running tap. Don't wipe off, let the oatmeal water dry off on its own,
leaving a dusty powder on the body to stop the itch.
- Cut tofu into pieces and attach to the poison ivy, oak area.
- Apply cornstarch or cornstarch paste to the poison ivy, oak area.
- Dab affected poison ivy, oak areas with equal amounts apple cider vinegar and water, and let dry.
- Boil some leaves from a peach tree and let the water cool. Soak a cotton ball in the water and apply on the
poison ivy, oak area. Leave overnight.
- Steep a peeled onion in cooking oil, then roast over a fire until burnt. Paste on the poison ivy, oak
area.
- For inflammation, take golden seal and vitamin C everyday.
