Nerves | Neuralgia | Neuritis

Neuralgia is pain surrounding a nerve, or nerves. Neuritis is the inflammation of one or more nerves.

  • To strengthen nerves, take at night 1 teaspoon honey with a pinch of finely powdered cinnamon regularly.

Neuralgia

  • Apply on the neuralgia some fenugreek seeds that has been grounded into powder.
  • Boil 3 tablespoons powdered nutmeg in 1 cup of sesame oil. Cool, then apply on the neuralgia.

Neuritis

  • For neuritis treatment, take mainly whole grains, particularly whole wheat, brown rice, raw and sprouted seeds, raw milk, especially in soured form, and home-made cottage cheese. Eat for breakfast fresh fruits, a handful of raw nuts or 2 tablespoons sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Consume steamed vegetables, whole wheat and glass of butter-milk for lunch. For dinner, take large amounts of fresh, green, vegetable salad, fresh home made cottage cheese, fresh butter and a glass of butter milk.
  • For severe neuritis, embark on a short juice fast (apple, beet, carrot, citrus fruits and pineapple) for 4-5 days.
  • Drink every night 1 cup soyabean milk with 1 teaspoon honey to tone up the nervous system from its rich concentration of lecithin, vitamin B1 and glutanic acid.
  • Soak soya beans in water for half a day, or overnight. Wash, and remove the skins. Grind the beans into paste, then mix with 3x its quantity in water. Boil on a slow fire and stir frequently. Cool, then strain the beans through a cheese cloth. Drink 1 cup of this soya bean milk mixed with 1 teaspoon honey every night.
  • Consume barley brew. To make barley brew, boil ¼ cup pearled barley grain in ½ cup water until it is reduced to about a quarter. Then strain. Drink it plain, or mix with ½ glass buttermilk and the juice of ½ a lime.
  • Drink the juices of 300ml carrot mixed with 200ml spinach daily to replenish deficient nutrients.
  • Eat 10gms fresh orange flowers with a little honey daily, or drink the water distilled from orange flowers regularly. The petals from the bitter orange is preferred for this.
  • Take a combo of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B12 and pantothenic acid to relieve neuritis pain, weakness and numbness.
  • Avoid white bread, white sugar, refined cereals, meat, fish, canned foods, tea, coffee, and condiments which corrupt the tissues with acidic toxins.
