Liver Problems

The liver cleanses the blood and aids in digestion by secreting bile.

  • To cleanse liver and reduce liver problems, drink a mixture of one-eight cup olive oil and ¼ cup each grapefruit and lemon juices once a week for 3 weeks. Take in the mornings, then go back to bed and rest.
  • Two tablespoons aloe vera gel to be taken 3x a day to cleanse liver, reduce liver problems and maintain liver health.
  • Soak 2-3 dried figs in 1 cup water overnight. In the morning eat the figs with 1 tablespoon honey. Do this everyday for 1 month.
  • Suck on a ripe mango with a glass of milk.
  • To combat liver problems, mash peeled potatoes and wrap them in thin cloth to squeeze of its juice. Take ½ cup 2x a day.
  • For liver health, take slices of papayas every day with 1 teaspoon honey.
  • For liver health, cleanse and take 5 - 10 basil leaves with 1 glass warm water every morning on an empty stomach.
  • For liver inflammation, drink 1 glass warm milk with 3-4 cloves and 1 teaspoon honey added 2x daily morning and evening. Drinking this regularly will also strengthen liver.
  • Use the young leaves of chicory in salads, or boil the root and eat like a vegetable to strengthen liver. The seeds, flowers, and root can also be boiled in water and the water taken 3-6 tablespoons 3x a day.
  • Consume fresh celery to open up obstructions of the liver and dissolve liver stones.
  • Add more almonds to the diet.
  • Eat dates to stimulate liver functions.
  • Eat fresh tomatoes to maintain healthy liver as they help produce new liver tissues.
