How to Improve Memory

  • Take ginseng and the herb gotu kola together in capsules to prevent senility, improve memory, and to promote mental endurance.
  • Brushing with the miswak (a form of plant used as natural toothpaste) is said not only to freshen the mouth but clears the brain and sharpens memory.
  • Soak 1 tsp frankincense in 1 glass water overnight and drink it in the morning to stimulate memory.
  • To strengthen memory, boil 2 liters water, then reduce the heat and add 7 teaspoons aniseed. Simmer until reduced to 2-3cups. Strain the mixture and add 4 teaspoons each honey and glycerin. Take 2 tablespoons 3x daily.
  • Chew on 7 almonds everyday to improve memory. Alternatively, soak 10 - 22 almonds overnight. Remove the skin the next morning and boil it with a glass of milk. Drink the mixture everyday. Alternatively, make paste out of the almonds and eat them, or with 1 teaspoon butter.
  • Take 1 tsp honey with a pinch of cinnamon powder nightly for good memory.
  • Inhale 10 - 25 drops almond oil through the nose in the morning and evening.
  • Mix 1 tsp honey with a pinch of cinnamon powder. Drink this mixture regularly every night.
  • Eat about 20gm walnuts every day, or a better way - 10gm each walnuts, figs and raisins.
  • Eat an apple with 1 teaspoon honey and 1 cup milk everyday.
  • Mix 3gm black cumin seeds with 2 teaspoons honey. Take every morning.
  • Mix 5 grounded black pepper seeds with 1 teaspoon honey and take in the morning and evening.
  • Drink a cup of carrot or beet juice every day.
  • Take a mixture of 1 teaspoon each tamarind root powder, white sesame seed powder and honey every day for a 4-5 days.
  • Foods to avoid - fish head and internal organs of animals like liver, heart intestines, etc., ant-contaminated foods and alcohol.
  • Foods that enhance memory - dark grapes or raisin, honey, ginger, almond, milk, carrot juice and honey, apple, dates, tuna fish, soya drink or fermented soya.
  • For memory loss or amnesia, take a pinch of finely ground pepper mixed with ½ teaspoon honey 2x daily.
  • Avoid heavy meat for those with memory problems.
