Hiatus Hernia
Hiatus Hernia is the protrusion (or hernia) of the upper part of the stomach into the thoracic cavity through
the diaphragm.
-
Take in the diet seeds, nuts and whole cereal grains, raw or lightly cooked vegetables, including raw
juices of fresh fruits and vegetables taken ½ hour before meals, and sprouted seeds.
-
For a hiatus hernia treatment, at least half of the diet should consist of fruits and vegetables and
the other half protein, carbohydrates and fat. Avoid over-processed foods like white bread and its
products, and sugar and sugary products, rice puddings and over cooked vegetables.
-
Take juices of raw fresh fruits and vegetables especially carrot juice diluted with 1:1 water to soothe
the stomach.
-
Adopt the healthy eating
treatment guidelines, including taking small meals regularly instead of three large ones, and
avoiding drinking with meals. Avoid taking extremely hot or cold foods and drinks, and hurried eating
or drinking (sip). Also avoid coffee, strong tea, alcohol, smoking, condiments and pickles.
-
Other measures : In the initial stage of self hiatus hernia treatment, sleep on a raised head level by
propping up pillows behind the head to prevent the regurgitation of food during the night. Practice
diaphragmatic breathing for relaxation. Avoid mental
and physical tensions.
-
Apply directly a cloth that has been soaked in rupturewort tea.
