Health Care for Fingernails

For nail fungus treatment, get a formulation of natural oils to promote heathy looking nails ⇒
  • To strengthen the nails, rub a clove of raw garlic, olive oil or castor oil on the fingernails every day. If there are infections on the nails, leave the garlic juice on the nails for at least an hour.
  • Apply Vitamin E oil to split fingernails.
  • For brittle nails, apply grounded olive seeds mixed with butter.
  • To cleanse and make them shine, rub fingernails with the bilimbi fruit. Then wash hands with soap and dry.
  • For bruised nails, pound some fenugreek and mix with a little water. Apply on the bruised nails.
  • If the nails look pale, cleanse them with the inside of an onion 3x a week until they look shiny and healthy.

  • Mix 1½ teaspoon vitamin E (can be taken from the capsule) and 1 teaspoon almond oil. Apply every night as a nail conditioning oil.
  • For nail fungus, soak in apple cider vinegar for a few minutes every day. Also take vitamin C and E to boost immunity against the fungus.
  • For nail fungus, apply tea tree oil.
  • For agnail (or hangnails), insert the affected nail in a cut lemon and secured with a tape or string so it won't fall off. Leave overnight and cleanse the area in the morning. Also take vitamin C and B complex (in food or supplement) as agnails may be caused by lack of those vitamins.
  • Rub the nails with a lemon peel once a week.
  • Rub the nails with 1 tablespoon each lemon juice and baking soda. Rinse off.
  • Soak the fingernails for 5 minutes in 1 cup warm water with the juice of ½ lemon added. Rinse off. Pat dry, pushing back the cuticles.
  • Eat a handful of white sesame seeds everyday to promote the growth and strength of nails. Alfalfa, chamomile, comfrey, horsetail, oatstraw and sage are also good for fingernail health. Flaxseed and evening primrose oil nourish nails and prevent cracking.
