Diabetes is a disease in
which the body does not use or produce insulin properly to
convert sugar, starches and other food into energy, causing
blood sugar levels in the body to be too high.

Take 4-5 small meals rather three large
meals a day. Adopt an all-natural lacto-vegetarian,
low fat, alkaline diet consisting of fresh fruits
(its sugar fructose doesn't need insulin to
metabolize), nuts and vegetables (celery,
cucumbers, string beans, onion, are excellent),
whole meal bread and dairy products. Take more raw
foods as they stimulate and increase insulin
production.

Take ½ grapefruit, or a glass of grapefruit juice
with each meal to lower insulin levels.

Cucumbers contain a hormone needed by the cells of
the pancreas for producing insulin while onions and
garlic help to reduce blood sugar in diabetes. Include them in
the diet.

Also include bitter gourd liberally in the diet as
it contains plant-insulin which has been found
effective in lowering blood and urine sugar levels:
Add bitter gourd seeds in powdered form to food,
take the juice of 4-5 bitter gourds every morning
on an empty stomach, or boil the pieces in water
and take the decoction.

Taking ¼ teaspoon grounded cinnamon with each meal
may help control blood sugar levels.

Ground 8 - 20 teaspoons cumin seeds till fine. Take
½ teaspoon of the powder with water 2x daily.

Eat the gotu kola during breakfast, lunch and
dinner. Alternatively, boil about 30 pieces of the
root or leaves of the gotu kola with 2 glasses of
water. Filter and cool. Drink it 1x a day after
dinner for 3 weeks.

Rub down 3-5 young and fresh Indian bay leaves to
open their pores and soak in a glass of warm water.
Wait for a few minutes for the leaves to settle and
the water to change to greenish color. Drink this
water every morning and afternoon. Do not forget to
exercise daily too to control diabetes.
