Teeth and Gums

  • Grind till fine a handful of dried mint leaves and add 1 tablespoon salt to use as toothpowder for natural dental hygiene.
  • Burn and ground till fine turmeric to use as toothpowder for natural dental hygiene.
  • To strengthen teeth, pound a slice of ginger and a little salt till fine. Squeeze the juice and use it as gargle and swish about in the mouth as part of the dental hygiene routine.
  • For bleeding gums, add a pinch of salt to a glass of lukewarm water and use it as a rinse in dental hygiene.
  • For gingivitis and bleeding gums, massage the gums with coconut oil, or drink 1 cup orange juice with ½ teaspoon natural brown sugar and a pinch of cumin.
  • For gum infection, apply 1 drop tea tree oil or clove oil to the painful spot. If in fection is below the gumline, dip dental floss in tea tree oil before flossing.
  • To strengthen teeth, gums and jaw, gargle with sesame oil, hold in the mouth and rinse about vigorously for about 3 minutes. Spit out, and massage gums gently with the index finger. Leave the residue in the mouth for the massage, no need to rinse. Do this 2x daily. This also prevents receding gums when done every night before bedtime as part of the dental hygiene routine. Alternatively, use 1 teaspoon honey mixed in 1 cup water in general dental hygiene.
