  • Mix 2 teaspoons cider vinegar and 2 teaspoons honey in 1 glass water and take before meals.
  • (1) Take 3-4 drops of black seed oil in coffee or tea. (2) Rub the back and chest with black seed oil. (3) Drink 1 teaspoon black seed oil after meals 3x a day. (4) Put 1 teaspoon black seed oil in a bowl of boiling water and inhale the vapors. Put a towel over the head to prevent the vapors from escaping.
  • Take 1:1 basil juice and honey.
  • Take 1 teaspoon garlic syrup regularly (3-4x a day) for frequent coughing spells.
  • Grate ½ oz. ginger and steep in hot water. When cool, drink it with 3 shelled walnuts and swallow the grated ginger.
  • Rub garlic on the bottoms of the feet while pressing on the tops and upper pads of the feet.
  • Mix 6 oz. liquid honey and 2 oz. glycerin with the juice of 2 lemons. Bottle and cork firmly. Use as required.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon lukewarm honey with ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder. Take daily for 3 days.
  • Take 1 teaspoon each honey and hot lemon (or lime) at bed-time.
  • Mix 2-3 grated garlic cloves with ½ cup honey and use 1 teaspoon daily.
  • Mix 1-3 drops aniseed oil with 1 tablespoon honey. Take 1 teaspoon of this mixture when inflicted with coughs and repeat when necessary.
  • Take every day a mixture of 1 tablespoon honey with ½ teaspoon cardamom seeds.
  • For mucus in coughs, mix ½ teaspoon each ginger, clove and cinnamon powders. Pour 1 teacup boiling water over the mixture. Filter, then add 1 teaspoon honey and drink.
  • For irritated throat from too much coughing, chew 2-3 cloves with a pinch of common salt.
  • For persistent coughing, chew slowly a mixture of 1 teaspoon honey and ½ teaspoon each ground mustard and ginger powder. Take 2-3x daily.
