Bronchitis | Bronchial Infection

Bronchitis is an inflammation of the bronchi, or respiratory airways.

Chronic bronchitis is a long-term inflammation of the main airways in the lungs, with cigarette smoking being the main cause.

Bronchitis

  • For chronic bronchitis, take fresh fruits for meals 3x a day for 5-7 days. After that go on a well-balanced diet of especially fresh fruits, seeds, nuts, grains and raw vegetables. Drink cold or hot plain water or mixed with lemon without sugar.
  • Apply, and renew often, a hot poultice of linseed over the back and front to reduce the blood pressure and relieve bronchitis.
  • For acute bronchitis, fast on orange juice and water until the symptoms lessen. After that go on an all-fruit diet for 2-3 days.
  • A mixture of 1 tsp garlic oil and 3 teaspoons honey to be taken 3 times a day.
  • Drink 1 glass milk with 1 tsp turmeric powder added on an empty stomach 2-3x daily.
  • Take a mixture of ½ tsp each powdered ginger, pepper and cloves 3x a day. It can be added to a cup of hot water as tea, or licked with honey.
  • Drink 1 tsp raw onion juice first thing in the morning to loosen phlegm and prevent it further.
  • Mix 1:1:1 dried ginger powder, pepper and long and take 3x daily, licked with honey or infused with tea.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon each pounded sesame seeds and linseed, 1 teaspoon honey and a pinch of common salt. Take ½ teaspoon of the mixture with 2 tablespoons water 2x a day.
  • Pound 7 almonds into powder and add into a cup of lemon or orange juice. Consume this mixture every evening.
  • Mix ½ tsp endive root with 1 teaspoon honey 3 times a day.
  • Mix 1 cup linseed seeds with a little water to make paste. Apply over the back and front of the chest during bronchial infection.
  • Boil for 10-15 minutes 2 teaspoons crushed licorice root and 2 teaspoons linseed in 2 cups water. Strain, then add 4 tablespoons honey. Take 1 teaspoon of the mixture 2-3x daily.
  • Avoid refined (eg. refined sugars, white flour) processed foods, meats, condiments, soft drinks, candies, ice cream, smoking and adverse weather conditions to prevent and relieve bronchitis and bronchial infection.
